Join Psychedelic Sangha for "BARDO BATH: Philosophical Research Society," an immersive dharma art experience with vocals by multidisciplinary artist Odeya Nini live vibraphone music by Sonic Shaman Chris Dingman light art projections created by Yosuh Jones and Aubrey Nehring and guided Tibetan Buddhist bardo meditation by Doc Kelley.
Find a comfortable position, relax, and prepare to experience the Bardo as described in the Tibetan Book of Dead and later adapted for psychedelic trip sessions by Drs. Timothy Leary, Ralph Metzner, and Richard Alpert. Take an immersive trip of the senses with live vibraphone soundscapes with light art projections.
Doc will be your meditation guide through the Bardo of dying into the Luminous Bardo of Dharmata, and back again—renewed, refreshed, and rebirthed. Within this last Bardo, one typically has powerful visions but also the chance to experience the nature of the mind.
After the show, we'll hold space for an integration circle to support a safe and open conversation about death and dying.
Meditation pillows and pads will be available, but you are welcome to bring blankets, yoga mats, etc.
This event is sound bath style. We invite you to sprawl out on the floor, but please bring your own mat, pillow, and blanket. We also invite attendees to bring offerings of flowers for the Psychedelic Buddhist altar installation.
